see my newer post :P

anyway…i agree with iamsocool…the test is over with, speculation isn’t gonna change our scores…

we can start discussing FRQ answers in…45 hours?

@ninmage621: hahaha missed it sorry

yep ur right, but a little speculation wont hurt : )

Yeah It was a lot easier than previous years tests. On the MC i skipped one guessed on 12-15 and was confident on the rest. I felt pretty confident on the FRQ. 4 or a 5 im happy!

i suppose so…

anyway…i think they would change the curve +/- 5 pt raw score or even more just to keep the percentages of students getting a 5/4/3/2/1 relatively stable…

this year…since the MC was easy, I’m pretty sure curve will be around 55 raw score for M/C or even higher, which corresponds to at least 110/180, if not higher.

I think i got 50+ MC raw and like 1/2 FRQ. Chance me at a 5?

@Significa: if you got in the high 50s raw MC, id put you at a low 5 or high 4 depending on the curve

(59 + 75/2) ~ 97/150 < 100/150 (curve for 2008)

hope this is helpful

I used the 2008 MC section to study and I found this year’s MC section to be much easier.

I did 6 actual AP tests for practice and this test had to be 2-3 times easier than any AP Chemistry test I have ever seen. I hope the curve won’t be really low because of how easy it was. :/

hopefully it doesnt lmao

Well, everyone may say it’s easier possibly because of their focus and concentration they put into the actual AP test. When taking practice tests, one is less likely to be 100% focused. Not to mention learning from each practice test helps make the next one easier.

how did you guys do the
calculation for the value of ag in 50.0 ml of a saturated solution of agbr at 298k? not the answer but the concept

MC was was redonk in my opinion. FRQ was easy except #1 (Ksp equilibrium). I’m thinking 3, as I had predicted earlier.

^Take the square root of the Ksp.

Ksp = [Ag+][Br-]
Ksp = (x)(x)

And yes, I failed to realize that the concentrations of Ag+ and Br- were the same, so I had no clue how to do that until I asked my friend afterwords.

Thanks miheon! Do you know the cut off for 4? That’s what I need to get credit and that’s all that really matters TBH

Anywho, the MC on this test were WAY easier than the other tests, not just because we’re focused but also because the questions were…well…easy

I think FRQs were tough compared to previous years – not as straightfoward IMO and MC was relatively the same level of difficulty minus a few questions which seemed like giveaways

The multiple choice was VERY easy, and most of the free-response was easy except for one little part of a question that I couldn’t figure out…but other than that, I think it went really well! :D

@Significa: I think maybe 80/85 to 100? – sorry just pulling this out of my ass lmao

lol i couldnt figure out the balancing because of the equation names. my teacher never went over that >_> she expected us to remember it from regents chem 2-3 years ago

i think i did well on the MC, but the caffeine might just be messing with me and i prolly got a lot of them wrong thinking i got it right ■■■ haha

Significa, you going to Boston University?

I think the MC was on par with the 2008 test. I thought the 2008 and 2009 FRQ were REALLY easy. This years FRQ wasn’t that bad. I think I only messed up parts of a few questions, but understood the overall concepts of all of them. I think it will be hard to gauge the curve since we only have a few years to go off of the new test. I still think the curve wouldn’t differ that much from the last few years. The MC was maybe a bit easier but the FRQ were slightly harder. More people even failed the test in 2008 than in 2006 (the last year of the old test) so even though it was easier this year, they probably won’t curve too much and might have a few more people pass.
