@nicksyn- I TOTALLY agree! It tested all the stuff I liked/was good at. :)

I’m just glad that I remembered what propane was, since I NEVER studied naming organic compounds. Overall, test wasn’t all that hard (my teacher’s tests are MUCH harder lmao).

omgg lucky ! i didn’t do so well. there were more lab questions on the mc than usual. i had to skip all of them ! except the unknown liquid one haha.

the test killed me overall. i got raped on the FRQ portion. expecting a 2-3, praying for a 4.

lol that’s why I always take out my battery and throw it in my backpack during all my AP tests (if I hit the power button on the side it would make the AT&T start-up WHOOSH noise). One of my friends’ cell phones vibrated (loud enough for everyone to hear) and the examiner didn’t even look up lol.

omg me too
i reeally hope i can get a 4.

I answered all 75 multiple choice questions and the FRQ was a breeze.
I must say, the Princeton Review for Chemistry was unbelievable.

The MC was hard because of all the decimal mental math. After that was over, it was pretty simple. FRQ I thought I dominated. But I don’t know what I’ll score. On the mock exam I took 2 weeks ago I got a 119…which was a 5 by 22 points. I like drawing Lewis dot structures. FYI.

Hey you guys!
So I also took the exam today and you know I have to say it was much easier than I had expected. Although I did make some unnecessary mistakes on the multiple section, I’m pretty sure my raw score was over 50. For FRQ 1 I probably got somewhere between 1/2-3/4 of the question right. FRQ 2 1/2 and FRQ 3 2/3 and for Part B I got almost everything right! (I checked my answers with 2 other people lol) I’m hoping the curve will remain high and I want a 5 so bad!

Oh and the first reaction for some reason took me forever to figure it out 0__0
I HAVE NO IDEA WHY!!
Well anyway it was:
H+ + OH- –> H20
And I think the others were:
C3H8 + 5O2 –> 3CO2 + 4H20
H2O2 —> H2 + O2

I hated that question
You know, it should be the dilute buffer but because the solution is unknown you have to rinse it with water I did not put that…

H202 decomposes into water and O2 i thought?

^ You’re right. :)

Whoops sorry ! I wrote the wrong reaction !
I think you’re right but the only reason I thought og mine was because I remember a reaction like
H2 + O2 –> H2O2

I forgot one of the formulas, and I didn’t put the first in a net ionic equation

Will they give me partial credit or does it have to be in that form to receive any points?

Must be in that form.

They will definitely give you partial credit
Correct reactants/Correct Products/Balanced etc.

Does anybody know when the makeup test for AP Chem is?

“H202 decomposes into water and O2 i thought?”
I put this too because the directions say H2O2 decomposes and produces A gas so H2 AND O2 were not BOTH the answer.

How is the exam scored? I know you have MC correct - .25 x Incorrect, but how are the FRQs graded?
