chemistry at nova?

i visited a few weeks ago kind of on a whim but i reallly liked it and i plan to apply EA. my stats fit their profile(except i'm not quite in the top 10% of my class, maybe 12-15%) only a 3.4UW gpa but had med. issues sophmore year and junior year gpa is 3.6. 1460 or 2190, almost 200 hours of community service, leadership in XC, nothing out of the ordianary.
i was wondering how strong their chemistry program was, what the courseload is like, is there a good network, are the professors approachable/understandable? is anyone a chem major or the parent of one?
thanks!

My D is a sophmore chemistry major. With all the pharmecutical companies in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area, there is a very good network. My D initially was a bio-chem major and found that taking a couple of extra courses, she can graduate with double major in Chemistry and Bio-Chem. The course load is rigourous but the teachers and advisors are very approachable. The chem department is small so teachers, advisors, secretaries etc. know you by name. It has a nice personal feel to it.

if you don't mind my asking, where else was your d looking? why did she choose villanova? what were her stats?
thanks so much for your help!
