<p>My daughter is interested in majoring in chemistry (not pre med). She intends to apply to UB, Binghamton, Stony Brook, and Geneseo and has visited each school and sat in on classes at each one. She has found things to like at each school. Any idea which school is the best for chemistry, (profs, reputation, job offers). The posts on the site seem to indicate that Binghamton has lousy profs in Chemistry. Anyone have an opinion? relevant experiences? thanks</p>

<p>i’ve heard geneseo has the best chemistry (actually most programs) than any other sunys. they have really great professors and do really well. what they don’t have is a lot of research…the profs do some, but not a lot. buffalo probably has the most in that area. buffalo still has a great chem/science program though…just not as strong as genseo’s</p>
