Chemistry at USC

I was wondering about USC's chemistry reputation...does anyone know anything about it? For all those who have been accepted as Chemistry majors, please list your stats. Thanks!

I am in the field, and have never heard ANYTHING about USC's chemistry department. Northwestern, Caltech, Berkley, even Rutgers have a better PROFESSIONAL reputation in chemistry than USC. However, that does not necessarily correlate to good education. A large fraction of chemistry majors go on to grad school, and the undergraduate institution does not have a very large influence on grad school admissions. Do spectacularly well on the GRE, do some research as an undergrad, and you have an excellent chance of getting into a great grad school.

I would like to know too, because I'm in for biochemistry major. Yeah, I've never heard of USC being spectacular in sciences! I got in with 1920 SAT and 3.5 ish GPA, didn't really expect to be in. If you get in UCs, you should go there instead, at least that's what I think. But I'm still waiting to hear from UCs.
