Hi. I'm currently a pre-med who happens to be a chemistry major as well. I know that majors don't really matter in applying to med school as long as I have all the requirements. However, I really don't like Biology that much although I have no problems with Chemistry, Physics, and math. Will this be a problem as a pre-med? I mean, I'd guess that most of the medical school courses would be related to Biology... I'd talked to a physician and he said that disliking Biology courses in undergraduate school won't be a big deal, but I'm still not so sure...
Any advice would be great. Thanks :)

Here is good advice from a wise person:

There is really no more left to say.

^hahaha, well said.

Although the question is why don’t you like bio classes. Medicine is applied biology after all so while it might not matter much from an admissions standpoint it is worth thinking bout why you want to pursue medicine if you dislike biology.

A lot of med schools like to see upper division bio courses on your transcript and as other posters have said med school courses involve biology…I would rethink your status as a premed.

Med. School is biology. Are you ready to spend hours and hours every day, sometime around 14 hours / day studying something that you hate? I am at loss with this one. How are you going to help sick if you dislike the subject that tells you how the body works. It is the same as saying that while one hates Physics, he absolutely wants to be an engineer, pretty contraversial…bending your own personality a bit too far
