Has anyone been in the chemistry department at Clemson? I have visited Clemson and I loved the campus but never got to see the Chemistry department, which I really wanted to see because I plan on majoring in Chemistry. I got my acceptance letter a month and a half ago or so. My decision right now is between Clemson, Uni of South Carolina, UNC, or Rennselear, which is pretty much depending on the amount of money I get from each schools and the quality of the chemistry departments are. I do live in South Carolina, so I know that I will get a good sum of money from USC and Clemson, so really these two are my choices.

But to get back on topic, has anyone experienced the chemistry dept. at Clemson?

I don’t know anything specifically about the chemistry program at Clemson but I took CH 101, the introductory chemistry class at Clemson and the professors teaching that class are really good and I had a good experience at least with that. I know the science majors at Clemson are great so I would definitely consider that as an option. (For what it’s worth, for graduate school, USC is ranked #78 and Clemson is #83 so they both seem to be about the same quality wise - Definitely enjoy Clemson’s campus a lot better than USC’s, but that depends if you mind living in a city or not)

Lolol1… good morning. Please send me your contact information through a Private Message and I’ll have the Department Chair contact you. He will be happy to address any questions you may have about the Chemistry department.
