I'll be a freshman at emory this yr...I got a 5 on the Chem AP and might be interested in taking the freshman organic chemistry course instead of general chemistry again...has anyone taken it that can tell me about their experience with it?

I took it 3 years ago. For the 171-172 series, we had two professors, Soria and Goldsmith. You guys are lucky because I'm pretty sure that Goldsmith is no longer teaching 171-172. Soria is one of the best professors I've had in 3 years at Emory. He's one of the nicest guys you'll meet, and he's willing to help you with any problems you have. You need a 95+ to get an A in the class, but Jose gives you the opportunity to get numerous bonus points so that's not as difficult as it sounds. The class is challenging, but it's really not overly difficult. I would take it if you have the opportunity because Soria is really a great professor.
