Chemistry Grades

I just finished my freshman year at an ivy league school. I have straight As in everything except for chemistry. I got Bs in both gen chem and orgo I, and I plan on taking orgo II and biochem next year. I guess chem just isn’t my best subject, but I ended up less than 2% below the A cutoff both semesters (which is really frustrating since my school does not give pluses or minuses). The fact that I genuinely enjoy chemistry also makes this situation frustrating. I am not one of those people who frets over a B or two, but does the fact that I’m having trouble getting an A in a subject look really bad? I will work really hard next year to not screw up chem again, but will straight Bs in the same subject badly hurt my med school application even if I maintain a 3.7/3.8 GPA? I have hopes of getting into an MD/MBA program and I really don’t want my chemistry grades to ruin my chances. Would I still be competitive for top med schools?

You will be okay if you can get all As from now on.
