Chemistry or Anatomy?

Hi!

A couple days ago, I met with my counselor to discuss my courses for next year. I’m going to be going into my freshman year. For science, I’m given the choice of Chemistry Honors or Anatomy and Physiology Honors. I’m not really sure what would be the best choice for me to make, and my counselor didn’t really give me a straight answer as to which one would be most beneficial.

Chemistry sounds better to me, but the chemistry teacher isn’t nice and is not a good teacher at all. He was my physical science teacher in 7th grade, and I definitely did not enjoy his class. However, I really want to take chemistry rather than anatomy, but the teacher thing is really bugging me. What do you think I should do?

Thank you!

In HS, you need to take Biology, Chemistry, Physics and perhaps an AP version of one of those.

Do not substitute A&P for a science…it should be an elective.
What is the normal sequence of science?
if it is starting with Chemistry, then take Honors Chemistry. Get a tutor ( your HS’s National Honor Society will have some) and use Khan Academy if you need to.

Chemistry is one of the three key sciences (with Biology and physics).

Okay, thank you for those suggestions! I’m going to take your advice. I appreciate it!
