chemistry or physics?

I have to sign up for a science class next year and im not sure if i should take honors chemistry or honors physics. Im not very good with math so i was thinking that chemistry might me too hard for me. Is taking chemistry an advantage to colleges or something because most kids at my school take chemistry instead of physics. Any advice about this issue?

Physics deals with much more math than chemistry. I would say to take both, but whatever.

If you suck at math, don't take physics; it's more math based than chemistry. Personally, I'd take chemistry, but that's just because I love chemistry, and took honors soph. year and AP junior year.

It's not an advantage to take either. The advantage comes with taking either one as an AP. If you plan on pursuing one on the AP level, then take the honors course first. I still recommend chemistry, mainly because I don't understand physics for the life of me.

Edit: I took both honors chemistry and honors physics my sophomore year.

If you're not good at math, you should probably take Chemistry. It does involve some math, but as a whole it is pretty basic, and MUCH easier than Physics math. Plus some conpects in Chemistry involve little to no math, as opposed to Physics in which pretty much every concept involves some math.

I think chemistry, at least basic chemistry, is something that everyone should learn. It really gave me insight into how intricate our world is. The labs are somewhat fun too. Definitely easier math than physics.

Physics conceptually makes alot more sense than Chemistry though, atleast to me. You can see Physics with your very own eyes, you can't do that with chemistry. I have no brain for science at all, so that physicality (ha) really helped.

I don't find the math too bad...it's certainly no complicated formulas or concepts, there's just alot of it (unless you're taking Physics AP, which has more advanced math).

Dear god, do not take Chemistry. It has alot of math, but it's mixed in with conceptual topics, and overall, it's really annoying to learn.

The only good part is the labs.

take both. best way to go because you're going to need them down the road anyways.

In chemistry, you get to blow things up, and the math is really easy.

I say chemistry, because the math is much less complex. Oh, how I hate science.

Chem seemed to be all math to me and it was really hard. To me physics sounds more straight forward then chem.

definately chemistry.....even thought physics honors math isn't that difficult, the formulas and memorizing is a pain. If you take physics you'll regret it cuz the AP will be impossible

really chemistry is easier than physics? I thought it was the other way around.

if you struggle with math DO NOT TAKE PHYSICS!!!!!!!!!!! physics is almost pure math! i LOVE math and it's HARD for me!
i took chemistry last year, there really isn't all that much math in it.

take biophysics it has alot of chem in it also

Take chemistry; someone I know says physics is really complex when it comes to math. I suck at math too. =[

the math in high school physics isn't that hard. chemistry is more conceptual + easy math. physics...is math lol but not hard math

I hated Chemistry. It was all memorization. But physics involves creative thinking and problem solving.

Ideally, you should take both. However, unless you truly enjoy chemistry you should probably go with physics since it's quite straightforward.

If your not that good at math take chemistry. its very simple and the calculations/memorization isnt that hard
