I'm an incoming freshman for Revelle and the information on UCSD's websites are conflicting. Revelle's site says a 3 will exempt me from the chemistry placement exam but UCSD's general website (the link I got off my tritonlink) says you need a 4. So which one is it?

I thought the chemistry placement exam was optional. Maybe they changed that. Where are you getting that information?

They don’t make it seem that way.

Here’s Revelle’s website: [Prospective Students: Chemistry & Language Exemptions](http://revelle.ucsd.edu/prosp-students/exemptions.html)

And the other one:

I would love for someone to clear this up as well.

[Natural Sciences](http://roosevelt.ucsd.edu/academics/gen-ed/nat-sci.html)

[Chemistry and Biochemistry Courses](Chemistry and Biochemistry)

I emailed someone from UCSD and they said it was optional

Wow… This is just disappointing. I had to survive 3 years of crappy administration at my current HS, you see.
