Anyone have a clue about the chemistry placement exam. I haven't taken chemistry since junior year and I basically forgot everything. Should I study for the test or just take it? Any thoughts on how hard it is?

I couldn’t remember anything either, and after the test there were a bunch of people talking about how they went A,B,C,D,A,B,C,D the whole way through, although I actually tried. You only have thirty-five minutes. If you don’t want to take a more advanced Chem class to start at Michigan, but if not, just take the placement and you’ll be put in intro.

If I don’t remember anything, is there anything I can do to learn the basics. I have orientation in about 3 weeks.

Don’t worry about it. It’s really easy. They’re all pretty basic questions.

I don’t think it’s binding. If you want to take Orgo and you do poorly, you can still sign up for Orgo I think.

Entertainer, I just looked over my friend’s old SAT 2 review book. I just reviewed general concepts, understood the formulas and how to apply them, and stuff like that. If I remember correctly, the test was actually all multiple choice so it’s really not that bad. I got all the questions right, apparently.
