Wasn't sure where to post this but can someone give me a general list of what would be on the placement test? I guessing it's pretty basic, right? Balancing equations, conversions, etc? I have like a week before I take my test so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated! Thanks

For what exactly is this placement test? (Eg is it to place between gen chem I and a more introductory chem class, everything between that and placing out of gen chem II, etc?)

That’s going to vary a lot from school to school, and it depends on what level of chemistry we’re talking here.

If you’re just trying to place out of introductory chemistry, and go into general chemistry, I’d imagine it wouldn’t be too involved. Balancing a few equations, perhaps drawing some diagrams, or interpreting some diagrams that are already drawn. Calculating molarity and atomic weights and whatnot. Perhaps some pH calculations.

That’s how my chem placement exam was, as a determinant of whether we’re placed into general chem or preparatory chem.

As everyone else said, it will depend heavily on the school. I suggest posting this in your school’s forum for more specific answers.
