Chemistry Placement Test

This morning I completed my placement exam for Chemistry (trying to get into and honors course, CHE 2AH) and I am a little worried. I scored a 23/44. (I could have done much better had I brushed up before hand, but I made the mistake of not doing so considering I aced the honors class in HS) I had previously qualified for CHE 2A based off of my HS credentials, however, the testing qualification is a 30+. Will I be bumped to a lower class or do we only need to meet at least one criteria?

(From an email: “If you are planning to take General Chemistry (CHE 2A or CHE 2AH), do note that based on your standardized test scores for admission, you have met one of the pathways to ensure enrollment in CHE 2A. This means you may register in CHE 2A (space permitting).”)

Thank you in advance!

This is the first year where they’re allowing people to place into CHE 2A through means other than the placement test, so nobody knows from experience.

That said, from what you quoted it sounds like you’re fine. And my understanding is that you just need to fulfill one of the criteria to place into CHE 2A. I’m not sure about CHE 2AH. Don’t quote me on any of this, because this is so new I’m not 100% sure.
