I plan on applying to UCLA in november of this year.

my predicted stats are

GPA: 3.7
TAP: Certified
IGETC: Completed
Prereqs: 6/11 completed by the end of spring

Chemistry doesn't seem to be a very impacted major (60% admittance in the 2009 school year)

Do you think i have a shot? i dont want to wait one whole year just to finish my 5 prereq courses (i plan on taking a couple more during summer)

My friend just got accepted into UCLA for chemistry, he had a 3.9, missing 5 prereqs, no TAP, and was missing 2 general ed courses.

it depends on whether or not those missing pre-req’s are offered at your ccc. if they are not, then you’re fine. if they are, your chances are GREATLY diminished

They are offered at my CCC. do they ask for a summer schedule on your application? because i know i could take some, then.

yes. you have to report summer courses on the application as well.

Do they take prereqs, planned for completion in the summer, into consideration when making admission decisions?

Anything up to the courses completed in the fall (in your case, Fall 2010) before transfer will be taken into consideration.

They wont ask for a spring/summer schedule in which i put the prereqs i expect to take?

Yeah, they will. Sry I was thinking about the grades which they’ll see up to fall. But they will ask for your “planned” courses.
