whatever, I'm just speaking from my experience. I don't understand how, if you prepare extensively, you can get a low score.

you've started a thread titled "what does it mean to study for the SAT II" so I understand why you think my comments are condescending...

It's not just you, but to call a test "easy" because you did well on it does not seem to be as helpful as something more objective.

I'm not saying that it's easy because I did well on it. The test is easy because if you study a lot, you will do well.

I hate it how the SAT II Percentiles though are a lot more nasty that the SAT Reasoning percentiles...630 on a SAT I section would be like 85 percentile, however on many subject tests (depends on which one) it can range from 20th percentile to 70th percentile....

I got a 790. A few tips:

Practice math more than anything. Being able to do the abstract math, eliminating obviously wrong choices, and guessing will help you save several minutes.

Don't waste too much time on the TTCE. In fact, I would recommend skipping it until the end if you can't time yourself well on standardized tests.

^ Yeah, I definitely agree...practice your math skills because you're not allowed to use a calculator and there's a lot of math. It's simple, but it can be time consuming if you don't have practice.

Here's a tip...don't waste your time checking over answers that you KNOW are right. I must have wasted 5 minutes on the questions on the beginning. On the one that asked "Which of the following is a Noble gas", I kept rechecking that for some reason and ended up wasting SO much time. I guess I was just nervous and didn't want to make stupid mistakes.
