Chemistry strength, career in dentistry

I'm considering majoring in either chemistry or biochemistry, and down the road, a career in dentistry.
Can anybody give me some insight on the strength of the chem/biochem majors/programs at any of the following universities: UPenn, Cornell, WashU, Northwestern, and Carnegie Mellon.

Any relevant comment is appreciated.

I don't know about the other schools, but NU is top 9 for chemistry I believe.

I believe what your referring to is NU's chem grad school ranking, which is #9.
I was actually asking about their undergrad chem programs. Thanks, though.

dlimhs,

Let me first give you the grad ranking:

UPenn: #20
Cornell: #9
WashU: #43
Northwestern: #9
Carnegie Mellon: #50

I am afriad it's rather difficult to quantify how good the correlation between grad ranking and quality of undergrad education is. However, last year, two chemistry students won the prestigious Gates Scholarships. http://www.northwestern.edu/newscenter/stories/2006/02/gates.html

There seems to be large number of research opportunities. They are signs of a solid program.
