I have not taken AP Chemistry, but I have taken regular chemistry and ended with an A (~95%).

Would this background be sufficient enough for a 650+ on the SAT II?

I read that the SAT II Physics exam is about on par with AP Physics B, so does that apply to the SAT II Chemistry as well?

The Subject Test in Chemistry does not cover the material as deeply as AP Chemistry, but it does go beyond most typical introductory classes. Nonetheless, you could probably get 650+ with some minor preparation, but even this score is subpar at all top schools. Where are you aiming for?

I’m aiming to get into “middle-top” schools I guess. I’m aiming for a 700+ on the exam, so I will buckle down this summer to prep for the SAT II Chemistry test.

Oh, I thought we were talking about the June test here. If you prepare effectively over the summer, you could probably get 800 in October.

That sounds awesome, thanks silverturtle.
