Can anyone who has take the Chemistry subject test please discuss their scores and books used/methods? I am a Junior and will be taking it along with Math Level 2 on June 7th.

*taken. I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you

I took the test as a senior and got 770 with no separate studying. I am currently taking HL Chemistry, but I strongly suggest you go over the T/f/ce questions because those questions probably screwed me up.

@eggopop do you know of any good test prep books?

I didn’t use any test prep books. I looked at the Sparknotes prep just so I knew how to do the T/F/CE questions. Basically reviewed my Chem course study guide (Oxford) the night before.
Good Luck!

I would recommend barron’s for math. I scored mid to high 600’s on the practice tests but ended up getting a 790 on the actual test. Barrons “over prepares” you but its worth it.

@franky I’m taking the Chem and Math II subject tests this summer, too. For chem, I’ve started off using a book by The Princeton Review, but I feel in some areas the information is too shallow, and in others it leaves out important information. I know Barron also has a chemistry review book. I’ve been using their equivalent for math, so I may switch over to this one for chem also.
Good luck to you!
