Does anyone know the scaling for this test?
What raw score is required to get at least a 750?

I have a Barron's 2007 book for the Subject Test in Chemistry, and it says I can get roughly 15 points off and still get a 750.
This seems too lenient/hard to believe.
I've heard rumors that the curve for chemsitry is actually really hard.

I think this is just for the Barron's book. They are more lenient on their curve b/c their questions tend to be a bit harder. I'm not sure how many you can miss on the actual test though. I skipped about 6 when I took it and im sure i got at least 7 or 8 wrong and i got a 730.

Oh, thanks.
Do you mind me asking what month you took it in?

A good friend of mine took it in May 2008 and she said she's pretty certain she got less than 5 wrong but she still got a 790 or 770 [I forgot].

What's the typical curve?

^^According to PR, raw score of 75 (skipp 10) is 780.

i think for a 800 it's typically -2 or 3, but usually 2.

^^Wait, then how come PR said raw score 75 =780?

Does anybody have the Official SAT II Book for ALL Subject Test and could verify?

In the CB book, -3 (i.e. three blank) is an 800.
