I am planning to be a chemistry major and have been accepted to Stanford. I am pretty sure I will continue on to graduate school, but I am not sure yet whether this would be medical school or chemistry graduate school (or both!). Can any current students tell me about their experiences with chemistry (and the other sciences) at Stanford. Any insight into classes, professors, and research opportunities would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much.

I’m not really sure what you want to know about. Do you have a specific question?

I am a Stanford senior in computer science but my next door neighbors are chem and chemE. Ironically the chem major is going into consulting and the chemE is going to grad school at Stanford.

Stanford is a wonderful place. My biggest advice is be eager to learn but be quick to prioritize. You can get involved in way too many activities too quickly. Choose 1 or 2 that make you happy. Say research and cycling. Something academic and something fun will keep you sane.
