<p>I think I've been playing chess for probaly 4 or 5 years.
I've gotten 2nd and 6th in my grade for TX and also 16th in all of Texas high school and 20th at national grade. probably am planning on starting a chess club.</p>
<p>I probably can get top ten in all of high school with some work this year.
How does it stack up as an EC?</p>
<p>I’d say if it looks like it’s more than showing up and playing here and there, that’s be fine. Just need to show that it’s something you’re interested in more than just in passing.</p>

<p>yea definitely, its something i really am passionate about and i think it pretty much shows up on how i place.</p>
<p>i also play golf so i think they go both pretty well. chess as the nerdy EC and golf as the non-nerdy EC</p>
