Chess scholarship

<p>An added benefit of any merit scholarhsip of at least $1000 is
that nonresidents will qualify for Texas resident tuition rates.</p>

<p>And Texas Tech is fairly generous with scholarships based on SAT
scores. Applicants are automatically considered for merit aid, based
on their college application.</p>

<p>Applications should be filed by Feb 1 for full consideration for
scholarships and all programs, but Texas Tech will accept
applications through May 1.</p>

<p>There are a lot of other chess scholarships out there.</p>
