wow stellar stats... btw, does anyone know the acceptance rate for Chicago EA?

I think it's marginally higher than RD...I've heard around 50%.

...and the countdown begins...

I sent in my application about 10 minutes before midnight. My essay (if you can even call it that) on mustard was pitiful. I'm just glad to be rid of the thing--it's their problem now. The rest of my stats are good, so if I get rejected, I'm blaming it on the mustard.

I'm sure a month and a half will fly by before we know it...

November 4th....my birthday...a month and 10 days from now, I will recieve my best birthday present so far:)

And to every one else, I wish thee "good luck:)"

P.S. Let's keep this thread moving.

good luck to you too, chicagonobel. I want to hear what everyone's interviews were like? Mine was kind of weird...

Woo hoo, got an e-mail telling me they've received my app...

Now we wait...

I got the e-mail telling me they've received my application too. Actually, I already knew because I logged into the uncommon application online to "check my credentials," so everything that they had received was listed right there, which I thought was quite nifty. What I'm wondering is if there's any way to find out if they have all my financial aid stuff. I'll probably give it a few days and call just to make sure.

My alumni interview is November 14th. What do you mean by "kind of weird," indytucker? Hopefully kind of weird in a good, Chicago-eque way? I'm not sure what to expect at the interview...

It's probably a little early to be wondering about this, but does anybody know exactly how we get decisions? December 14th? Online? Snail mail?

Wow, this is a stacked roster!

There was not an alumnus within 70 miles of me. :( I may be flying from Pennsylvania to Chicago for a tour and interview soon if Chicago tells me it's not too late. :)

Applying RD
1480 (780 M, 700 V)
770 2C, 740 Writing, 730 USH
Top 5% in class of 270- Hardest class load, 6 APs by graduation
Good-to-great EC's (X-C Captain, Quiz Bowl Captain for 3 years, Tennis, Drama, Band, Student Gov't, class officer, tutoring, etc.)
Great Rec's
A great essay (already written!)

Hoping to get an interview, even though I'm not within area of anyone to interview me!
