<p>How did you apply ED to Columbia AND EA to Chicago?</p>
<p>Columbia didn't have a problem that I was applying Early Action to UChicago, and UChicago had no problem that I was applying Early Decision to Columbia.</p>
<p>UChicago is not my first choice, but being that I was going to apply there anyway, I decided to apply EA because it will give me another answer way before April. </p>
<p>At this point, I'm counting on an acceptance letter from Chicago merely to keep my morale up until the spring.</p>
