Chicago essay

Ok this school has the wierdest essays I have ever seen, they ask if you were a function, what would you be? Quadrants, derivatives, v-line test, etc and get this, do you stay on the x,y, or z axis?? Does anybdoy have any clue on what to write b/c I am totally lost, they have others but they are just as stupid, my idea was using a quadratic fn since I have a bumpy life, pretty stupid I know.

Chicago is known for its quirky essays. They have new ones every year. This is an important admissions tool for them and a very effective one at that. These are really personal essays and you should really think about them by yourself.

(Tip: don't choose the math question if you're not mathematically inclined)

Well math is my subject but it seems like this essay has nothing to do with math!

You're probably supposed to relate the math to personality quirks in real life...

I think its a great question.......if you have a bumpy life use f(x)=sinx not a quadratic.

Puns and allegory.

If you think that Chicago's essays are "stupid", maybe you shouldn't apply...

also sine is not really bumpy.. try a weierstrass maybe? and talk about how you're special not differentiable.. ha.. haha..
