<p>Hey, everyone! So i live in an impoverished neighborhood in chicago. my family income is about 19K. I go to a competitive public college prep school where I'm in the top 17% (graduating class of 600). my school offers 19 ap classes. my school sends about 10 kids to uchicago annually. </p>

<p>Major: Political Science
Applied: Early Action
First Generation student
Turkish, born here, speak Turkish, English, Albanian.
Have taken a class once at UCHI. Have taken 2 classes at Northwestern (both A's, sent them transcripts)</p>

<p>Unweighted GPA (Out of 4): 3.71
Have taken all Honors or AP where available. Total of 8 AP's
AP Classes taken: US Hist, Physics B, Government (all 4's =/ =))
Senior Year courses: all AP (Bio, Euro Hist, Economics, Lit, Psychology) and Honors Calc. I have the 'most demanding' course load of my senior class.
Weighted GPA: 4.379</p>

<p>Tests:
ACT = Composite = 32
Writing = 11
English, Reading= 36,34. Math= 31. </p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
I had 5 leadership positions in large school organizations, 3 Varsity sports, and a political internship for 3 years. I am the head of Mikva and Model UN (President). I also have lots of community service (feeding the homeless campaign). my EC are one of my strong points.</p>

<p>Essays and Recs: My essays, I've been told, were "superb." (My english teacher who has been teaching for 40 years said it.) My why essay was simply amazing (as i have also been told). It really detailed my interest in the school and the opportunities available for me on campus and in our city.</p>

<p>I believe you have a very good chance but remember it is selective. Just make sure you work hard this year and have you taken the SAT? Just wondering…</p>

<p>I think Chicago, like most colleges, has a commitment to accepting some low income students from their area. That’s a big plus for you.</p>
