After getting rejected from my top 3 (Harvard Brown Amherst) and waitlisted from number 4 (Dartmouth), I am choosing between three I didnt think I would end up looking at, I havent even visited Chicago or Vassar. What are the good things about Chicago, and is it a better school than Vassar and BC with Honors Program? I've heard Chicago is not fun and that people just study all the time. Dont get me wrong I love to learn, but I'm also definitely not socially awkward and want to have a good time too. I really ned some feedback as to choosing between these three, I know they are completely different in every way so I dont want to make the wrong decision. Oh and which one will look the best when I try to get into Harvard Law School in 4 years? feedback please!

You have to be kidding me, right? I’m embarrassed for even answering this question seriously (and I do so reluctantly), but here it goes.

These are three completely different schools. Although there are always different types of people at every school, and any given person can have a different experience than the rest, the average experience at all three is very different. Chicago and BC are in major cities, Vassar is not. BC is notorious for being upper-middle class preppy kids, while Chicago is notorious for being nerdy and Vassar for being indie.

Going to any one of these three schools will not directly address your chances of getting into Harvard Law in four years (assuming you still wanted to be a lawyer). In order to gain admittance to HLS after graduation, you will need a near perfect LSAT score and a near perfect GPA. The undergraduate institution will not affect your chances in any material way.

In all honesty, I don’t know why you think you already know you want to be a lawyer or why you think you must attend HLS. But, assuming that such wants and desires are valid, it would be easier to get a high GPA from BC than Vassar, and easier from Vassar than UChicago. UChicago is notorious for grade deflation (despite also being notorious for people who study too hard). So, maybe go to BC. Judging your presumptuous, immature question, I think BC’s atmosphere will suit you better, as well.

BTW…I suspect that you are socially awkward.
