So I was accepted to Chico State and San Jose State as a freshman for the fall of 2018. For Chico State I got in as a Political Science major and for San Jose I got in with a Behavioral Science major. What I want to do for either school is eventually change majors to PreNursing once enrolled. I’m just having a hard time deciding which school is better? By better I mean through diversity, lively campus, better professors?
Any Responses of experiences at either schools would help Thanks!
Chico is more residential and near a college town.
San Jose housing costs are insane so if out can’t commute forget it.
both of the schools are good. both will be very difficult to switch into their nursing programs. Do you want study/live in a big city and attend a school that most people commute to - or, are you looking for a ‘college town’ experience. Which I prefer isn’t relevant. The decision should come down to the experience you want to have.
good luck.
You should also check to see if you are able to take the Pre-Nursing courses as non Pre-Nursing major since priority will be given to students already accepted into the Pre-Nursing major at each school and how easy it will be to switch majors.
You may want to see the information on the SJSU and CSUC web sites:
