Hi..I just graduated from HS and was wondering my chances of being accepted to CSU Chico after just one year of CC. I hate it here, and I want to get out asap. Staying the full two years at my CC would be very disheartening...

Anyway, Chico doesn't accept lower division transfers.

But, I passed 6 AP classes in HS, and took a transferable art history class my sr year...So I will be able to get to 60 with just about all my GE done (I'd just need to take one class next summer if all goes well), plus all the transferable courses related to my major (math education).

But I'm worried that they wont accept me because of my seeming lack of units...I don't recall if CSU applications ask for AP scores. And plus my CC won't give me credit for them until after this semester, because I need at least 12 units completed before they will do so. I mean, where it asks for college courses completed on my app I'll only be able to jot down one class...

I'm pretty sure if I applied last fall I'd be attending now, but as a transfer I fear they'll overlook my application due to the apparent lack of units...Is there room application for this, or what steps should I take to make sure they know I will have 60?

Also I what kind of GPA should I have in CC to give myself a good chance for transfer to Chico?

I'm probably just overly stressing cause I want to go so bad, but yeah this stuff is bothering me. =/ Thanks to all those who reply. :)
