I’ve heard mixed things about Franklin & Marshall, and would love to hear more for others. Some people say preppy/fratty, others say not so much.
@BatesParents2019 Which college are you referring to?
@porcupine98 F&M.
Oh weird, @BatesParents2019 . When I saw your answer, my question seemed to be still saved as a draft. Now I see it’s posted twice. Oops. Not sure I can delete the second one now.
F&M is very preppy. Greek life is big there. Very good school that does a good job of getting it’s graduates into post graduate programs. I have never found it to be a very warm or friendly community but truthfully my visits are somewhat limited there. Nice campus, nice facilities, not too far from Philly or Baltimore. Best of luck to you!
no Greek life at Vassar and an excellent music scene and a strong physics department - take another look at it. I also agree with Hamilton, Skidmore, Wesleyan and maybe Brandeis if you want a strong music scene.
Agree that the OP is screaming Wesleyan, Vassar, Oberlin, et al. I would only caution that Physics at Wesleyan is one of the tippy top programs at the school with students beating out MIT in prize competitions. I’m sure they find ways to be chill, but, it may be a matter of how you define it.
