Chinese FALCON program

If I get into ILR, I am considering doing it either my sophomore year or junior year and petitioning to graduate in 5 years if need be. Has anyone done this or known someone who has who can tell me more about it? Does the Chinese FALCON program really work? I have no prior knowledge in Chinese--Mandarin.

“Once FALCON students have finished the summer and fall terms at Cornell, they have the language skills necessary to benefit fully from a Chinese linguistic and cultural environment. FALCON’s full-year students spend their last semester in Beijing, where they continue to improve their skills and put them to effective use in daily life.”
