I visited one time and a lot of people had these brown take out boxes of chinese food. Where is it from? and what places in collegetown have good food to go for like take out?

Trillium has Chinese that you can get in those brown take-out boxes…it’s okay, but it’s kind of like what you’d find at a mall food court (lo mein, fried rice, sesame chicken, etc.)

o. so is it like a place where people eat alone in between class/does it have seating and stuff or does it get like really crowded? and does it have good food?

Are there any Chinese buffets on/near campus?

Trillium is an a la carte dining hall that takes BRBs, and it’s pretty popular for lunch. It can get really crowded, but you can usually find a seat somewhere (with or without friends). Food includes Chinese, burgers/quesadillas/grill items, salads, sandwiches, Indian, burritos, sushi, etc. It’s pretty good food and very convenient if you’re by the Ag quad, but can really eat up your BRBs.

There is a Chinese section at North Star in Appel. The chefs are the Tangs, who formerly owned the Asiatic Garden, which was downtown in Ithaca for many years. They cook dinner Mon. - Thurs. and lunch on Friday. There was an article about North Star in the most recent Ezra magazine, and the Tangs were featured.
I have no first-hand experience with their cuisine.

Here’s the link.
