hi, guys, i only get to choose between Washington University in St.Louis' Olin school of business and Babson College (across the street from wellesley). they are the only two schools i got in out of 13 I applied.

suggestions? thanx......
so hard to get into a regular college nowadays, sigh...... should of trying culinary and design schools

obviously, wash U.

well, did you get a scholarship/aid from any of the schools?

NO scholarship/aid, that's one big factor i could get in, wash u's scholarship/aid budget for intl students is notoriously low

yeah, i know. well, maybe you should visit the schools to see then. Just be happy that you have a choice ;)

how many of u considerin nus/ntu/smu?? like seriously/most prob gonan end up in these??

tell me, then when u get in, we can meet :)

do u mean those singapore universities?

umm, yeah.......
ya i noe there are no where near those elite US ones.. :o

NTU is on par with most of the universitiesin the US ( yes most of the top 10 ) , people neeed to stop downplaying their national universities

okay i am done ranting

ps, my national uni wud still be IIT and is no way lower than US :)

Are there anyone from Taiwan on these posts? It seems like most people here are from China?
I got in Northwestern and University of Michigan..

I'm going to Michigan.. Anyone going there for engineering?

Anyone up for some chatting?

MSN: whattocall@hotmail.com

Yeah I'm Taiwanese. I'm going to University of Rochester.

cliched_suicide@hotmail.com

Taiwan is part of China so u are all the same

undefinex, no offense, but I think it'd be better if you used "mainland" instead of "China" in your statement.

"Taiwan is part of China so u are all the same"

Irrelevant to the topic and question asked. undefinex asked if there are any Taiwanese, by that he meant Taiwanese Chinese and not Mainland Chinese. I consider myself Chinese, but not part of China

dun forget about me!!!

we are all chinese here, taiwan, mainland, hongkong, macau are all belong to china. don't deny your true identity, just because china is economically disadvantaged, or has less democracy, or way too crowded, too polluted, too brutal......
a lot of foreigners respect you because china is stronger everyday, it is improving in many areas with so many ingenius chinese overcoming incredible hardships.

totally agree with tangsdaily...
dun kill me...but i have to say this: i hate that taiwanese prez. :p

No offense taken.. I don't like the current prez either. Many people still think he rigged the election anyway.

Everything is getting really messed up in Taiwan. My whole family is considering getting out of the chaos before it is too late. The only reason why my family is still here is due to economic reasons.

And seriously... the Vice-prez is a B**ch.

I did not deny being part of China because of China's problems. As I've said I am Chinese, but not from China. To me, as of now Taiwan is still an independent country. Let's not bring politics into this.

One more thing, I think the notion that the assassination attempt was staged is absolutely ridiculous.
