<p>about your schools:</p>
<p>It is definitely (indefinitely?) disadvantagous to you if you want to apply fin aid as an international student in the united states comparing to a u.s. domestic student. Intnl admission is competitive (Intnl pool usually yields a 3-4% acceptance rate comparing to the 20% norm at elite colleges).</p>
<p>However, you do get some bonus from a personalized recommendation, easy access to standarized tests (like AP), veritable school records, and more information comparing to a Mainland chinese students.</p>
<p>So it's kind of in between.</p>
<p>Just curious, are you from Stuyvesant?</p>
<p>Your Schools:</p>
<p>Johns Hopkins: Any major except pre-med should be fairly easy, admission-wise, comparing to other schools on your list.
Probably a solid match.</p>
<p>Cornell: match
The easiest Ivy, but still quite demanding. Great Science Program.</p>
<p>WUSTL: reach match
Wait, are you doing pre-med? JHU and WU both lead me to this suspicion combined with your good SAT II chem, bio, phys.
WUSTL has increased its selectivity through admission campaign. It's a hard guess because no one knows how long will this trend last.</p>
<p>MIT: reach
Your science certainly seems to be strong although some statewide or nationwide awards are quite essential for the top tech schools. </p>
<p>Columbia: reach match
The Fu school (some irony inside the name ;)) is competitive. Is it the "next to a very competitive university....." you were talking about? Or SUNY?</p>
<p>Yale: reach
A very interesting choice amidst all the "science" schools. Good undergrad liberal arts education. I personally had something not clicking with it, though I do recommend it comparing to all other comprehensive universities. It's a reach regardless of the stats. So work hard on the essay.</p>
<p>Some deep "science" safeties to consider : Georgia Tech, Rose-Hulman, UIUC, Rensselaer.</p>
<p>If you are interested in any LAC at all, let me know, that's my forte :)</p>

Wustl's advantage is its flexibility. no matter you entering major, you can always change it later easily without addional apps stuff...... wustl will ask you to list your preferrable sub-schools when you apply. if premed is full, you will automatically be accpeted to your second choice...... first choice school doesn't matter, it's just a rolling basis.
