maybe your computer lab blocks aim? no idea. try aim express maybe?
http://www.aim.com/get_aim/express/aim_expr.adp?aolp=
i'm in lab right now. so much waiting around. o well, free time for reading!...sigh

Who is Lao Wang anyway? I am not sure you can use AIM in China. oh which college are you in yinruijun? Could you type it in English? Maybe I have some high school classmates in your school. :)

damn it! When I said could you type it in English, I really meant could you type it in Chinese?

new people.yay. ppl call me youknowme. and they think i rocks. so my name is youknowmerocks.

haha. you can definitely tell who the youngest person on the thread is ^
yryuan, which high school did you go to?

Which high school I went to is not important. I didn't go to HS in Beijing. I just have some friends go to some Universities in Beijing. Oh, and since you know my name, plz call me Raymond or Yuan. Every time ppl call me yryuan23, I feel like they are calling my email box.

Some more words for yinruijun,
I just noticed you said our country is strong in some area. While I agree China's economy is booming at a tremendous speed, I don't think the launch of the spacecraft necessarily demonstrate anything. Coz China actually bought the fundermental technology from Russia. Had China developed the technology by its own, it would be several decades more that China can launch its own spacecraft. You should also notice most of China's exports are low-tech products like textiles and toys. China can't make competitive vehicles. China can't develop powerful softwares. China can't provide satisfactory services to customers. There are A LOT reasons causing all of these, and I don't get too deep here. All I want to say is, China is just a huge manufacturer, who makes profits by manufacturing huge amouts of low-tech products for foreign companies. China's advantages mainly come from the manipulation of its currency. Being a Chinese, I shouldn't be complaining about this. However, I really don't think it's good for China to adopt this policy in a long run. It may hurt China one day. Actually, there are already some problems taking place in China's society. The gap between rich and poor is getting bigger. Most of the people are paying attention on exporting low-profit goods to oversea companies. Those who want to start domestic businesses found it's still very difficult to get things done. Most of the regulations are not clear enough... I am not saying I don't like China. I love China actually. I just want to point out China still has a long way to go. I am not as optimistic as the some media in China. Anyways, what was I talking about? Well, maybe I was just amusing myself, I guess...

And bow,
Could you tell me something about Fang? I havn't talked to him for a while. You can just tell me something like what you talked about, what you think about him, etc. Oh, DO tell me what he looked like. haha, somehow I want to laugh now....

i really appreciate the words of yuan, you know much about china than me, i mean you care the situation of china more, though i am in china ,i don't know so much about our country. i think i shoud get on the internet often to get some impersonal ideas, honestly, i think the the media in china have some limits in reporting news.the one thing i can say is that we are doing our best to make our country better,we learn from other country we getter better. and i will learn the ecnomic, so i will learn some means of the government doing~~oh my college is 北京工商大学,i am in the major of accountancy.
and lao wang i don't understand what you say in english, so guide me in chinese, i dont know i can't use it for i don't update it ?
i will go back to my clooege this afternoon , in a lonely section in bejing, i always think i am closed in this college~~~ but i can also get on the internet there~~
so have fun everybody~~

hmmm...a lot has been going on on the chinese thread now.ok ppl i can't really write coherently now cos it's so damn late so if i start rambling, forgive me.
am in chicago for the weekend.went hiking today.the main reason for my incoherence.it's damn cold already here.don't know what i'm doing tomorrow but GUESS WHAT.JENNIFER ANISTON IS IN LAKE FOREST!!!!me and my friends were in the car when another friend called us and told us she saw her today in lake forest and we all started screaming.surprised we didn't have a car crash there and then.
yy,i'm sure u like the drunk girls post!!i laughed my behind off when i read it on someone else's wall.friday afternoon i was bored when working in the library so i started posting random stuff on ppl's walls.MWHAHAHAHA...
so tangs, how's chicago treating u?isn't it beautiful?especially around michigan avenue, the architecture and all.i love it.

welcome aboard, loveli_yinruijun. i'm one of a few remaining chinese thread survivors.

we are indeed glad to have you posting here rather than doing homework.

cardinal is down to 1 to 3 against astros; i'm rivaling **0712 now

i'm proud of Wonderboat 6; i don't care if western media like cnn still naively thinks we "bought" or "copied" the technology from russia. i'm really tired of arguing. we have countless personnels working for our projects while only paid a few hundred bucks a month; i'm proud of them. our country has overcame a lot to achieve what we have today, that' not easy considering the past 150years of suffering. let's be respectful and optimistic for our success no matter that we are not perfect.

I wouldn't say one is just naively assuming something happening when one really has some evidence.

i'm really tired of arguing.
that's a typical fallacy if you learned philosophy, btw.

I don't think I disrespected anyone. I feel proud for what China has achieved. However, I failed to find a reason for feeling as optimistic as the media in China. Sometimes they are NOT telling the truth.

hey y'all anyone applying to stanford?

i will if i can get in.-_-

good luck, naturallyjojo!!

again, as i said last time, once you get in, don't forget to post your good news here. we will play some fire crackers
stanford is the 3rd richest university in u.s. and in the world. a lot of colleges are imitating stanford. although i can't eat the grape, i won't complain much about the grape's sourness.

continue fostering potential business tie

uhhhh...did i miss something here? kinda tense yeah.
for some reason i think i spelled tense wrong.
ok no i didn't.
sorry,being random as usual.

2 tests and a paper due on friday..yaayyy!
no more procrastination this time. no more. (lol. we'll see how many minutes before class i finish the paper this time)
alright, gotta go 'study' for the chamber music midterm tomorrow. haha, this is funny...it's hard to practice the 'piano' on my desk

I'm from Canada, but my parents are from Hong Kong.
I guess that technically makes me Chinese.
I speak Cantonese, but not super fluently (like, I'll never understand an HK politician). I'm going for Mandarin fluency however though.
