Chinese tutoring?

In Taipei, I've noticed that there is a class that can teach people how to tutor chinese to foriengers...and after finishing the classes they would give you a certificate that shows your ability to teach chinese.

However, it costs NT 20,000 (which is about 700 USD) so I"m not sure if this investment is worth it....

Have you heard anything like this?
Also, do people on campus in general need chinese tutoring in UW?
I was thinking this may be an opportunity to work...

DO you think the certificate would help?

Thanks so much :)

I know people from mainland China usually tutoring Chinese as a volunteer although they didn’t take any class like you are considering. They teach at universities and international high schools. So the universities and high schools will give certificates.

I am not sure whether colleges in USA believe the certificate but surely it’s a way to save money and to get the experience of teaching Chinese.
