Hi!
I took the Aleks placement test and placed into MAC 2311. I also got a 5 on my AP Chemistry exam which I took as a junior. Would you recommend I take CHM 1025 and MAC 2311 or CHM 2045 and MAC 2311 in my first semester of freshmen year?
I do not want to overwhelm myself when I first get to college and since I hope to apply to med school, I want to try and maintain a good GPA.
Thank you!
A 5 in Chemistry gets you CHM 2045/2046. 1025 seems like a huge step back but definitely talk to your advisor at preview.
I’d recommend skipping 1025, but taking a light, say 12 credit, load - until you get a better feel for time management in the big U.
Like the others said, you don’t need CHM1025. AP Chem is considered one of the most difficult to get a 5, you are prepared for 2045. 12-13 hours total makes sense too.
Thank you for your help!!
