My final grade for Chm 1025 ended up as a C-. I know there's not really an excuse, but I ended up having a bad semester because of being effected by certain circumstances in my personal life and my grades suffered because of it. Do I have to retake the class to enter Chm 2045? The thing is that I passed the chemistry readiness test, but stupidly decided to go into chm 1025 instead just to refreshen a bit of my chemistry knowledge. So basically, can I still take chm 2045 because I passed the readiness test or do I definitively have to get a passing grade instead?

You should still be able to take 2045, but no matter what personal issues were you will likely have to work on your study skills going forward if you got that grade in that class. Also consider how much you actually like chemistry, because if you’re doing premed or Chemical Engineering you might not do so well if you’re really despising every second of studying. I got a C in 2046 because of poor study skills and lack of interest, as well as personal issues.

I totally understand and take full responsibility of that. Have you taken 2045 as well? People tell me its a bit brutal. What did you think of it?

If you didn’t do well in chm 1025, you’re in for a hell of a ride if you’re gonna take 2045.

I got an A in 1025 but a B in 2045.

Hard class. Good luck, OP.
