CHM 2047 or CHM 2046

I scored a 5 on the ap exam and I have preview next week. My parents pretty much are making me take at least chem 2 again. Though im not sure about taking chem 2 and 1 in one semester. That seems like just a lot oh hw even if some of its easy. Im already taking enriched phy w calc 1 and calc. So this just seems like extra work for nothing.

I was wondering the same thing. I haven’t gotten my scores back yet but you don’t really need CHM2047 for most Engineering Majors (I am exploratory) so I am thinking that if I get a 5, I shouldn’t even take any Chem classes (I disliked Chem but I was really good at it) and go straight to Physics.

HaHa… you’re a little over confident. THere is no way you will place out of 2046. Good Luck trying.

It says that a 5 in AP Chem give you credit for CHM 2045/2045L and CHM 2046/2046L.

ufgator was that to me cause im going to take chem 2 either way, im not trying to place out of it

So I just checked my scores and I got a 5 on AP Chem, this gives me the 8 aforementioned credits. Most, if not all, non-Chemistry related majors don’t require any Chemistry past CHM2046 so is it possible that I just start taking Physics or other Gen-eds my fall freshmen year and be done with Chem for good?
