CHM2210 at UF

Hi guys,

I plan on taking CHM2210 summer A, but I'm torn between Dolbier or Horenstein. Both have good reviews. What do you guys think?

Is an A more attainable with Dolbier or Horenstein? Thanks!

I never had either but people I know are going with Dolbier. Ive heard he’s like a “lovable grandfather”, also he’s willing to dish out the letters of rec. As far as Hornstein, I believe that class is a bit tougher.
But again, I never took ochem with them. I had Portmess(I recommend Portmess HIGHLY!) and Deyrup.

Dolbier - I hear 80% is an A with 3 exams total. No quizzes.

Horenstein - I hear 90% is an A. Her exams are shorter and she has 3 quizzes.

Can someone share their personal experience with Dolbier or Horenstein? Thanks!

Dolbier no doubt. I have sat in on his lectures before and his teaching style is AMAZING… he is the most amazing lecturer for orgo I have ever heard. IDK about his syllabus or grading though

removed because I noticed other thread on fall chem 2210
