Anyone accepted to Choate ? Class of 2011? Anyone considering going after being accepted?

I was accepted, and am seriously considering going (and it'll probably be the only place I'm accepted at, too)

Accepted. most likely going.

my friend was accepeted(Class of 2011) but it is not her first choice. I'm not sure if she is attending.

i can't decide between choate and lawrenceville! does anyone have an opinion?

That's a tough one....

I''ll check the course guides and get back with you. lol.

I think I would pick Choate because they offer more courses that seem interesting. (American Diplomacy, International Economics, Business Internship, American Political Institutions, Political Ideologies)

omfg I need to apply to choate.

Did you visit both? Both are excellent schools and can offer you a great education. Choate has a very well-regarded arts program. Lawrenceville has very strong athletics and uses harkness tables. Will you be able to attend revisits? This would really help you decide. Anyway, you don't have to decide today.

Yes i know i dont have to decide right now but i havent visited lawrenceville so i just wanted to ask everyone who knows something about it. I got in lawrenceville without an interview which was pretty awesome. any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Daughter accepted to Choate and Taft today. Still waiting to hear from Exeter.

Best wishes to all the applicants and their parents here. I'm glad I found this site. The honesty and insights shared hear are remarkable.

i got into choate. but im not sure if i'm going cos i got into andover too

choate also has harkness tables in the humanities building but they just dont say so.

From what I know, Lawrenceville's art program is great, too. I think Lawrenceville's facilities are gorgeous and look better than most boarding schools I've ever seen...

Lawrenceville has an amazing athletic program, as well.

If you want a New England, more popular, "prestigious" school, go to Choate.

I personally like Lawrencevile better, though...

yup, lawrenceville's facilities i found to be better than choate's. shame i didnt get in. :(

Thanks for the opinions. I think I might still go to Choate though...I loved it during the tour.
