Choate Decisions

Is anyone seeing decision information on the GoChoate website????

It looks like they are updating the GoChoate website (this one - http://choate.askadmissions.net/Vip/Vip.aspx_</a> and there’s a whole bunch of new information showing on the bottom left side of the page.

The decision info is now gone. Very weird.

What did it say while it was there?

It had a whole bunch of information and links regarding acceptance results, but the most significant thing was a paragraph that said “Congratulations on being accepted to Choate!” There was a link to the “Welcome to Choate” video as well.

It certainly could have been a “test” posting or an error by someone that was updating the site, or it could have been an “oops” and something I was not supposed to see just yet.

Since decisions are not supposed to be available until Mar 10th at 3:30PM, the info I saw cannot be considered valid and could easily have been a mistake. I am not sharing this with my son because it would be cruel if he was told he was accepted, then got a “decline” message on Wed afternoon.

Did anyone see the same thing this morning???

Oh my gosh I wish I had!! I didn’t log on, but that sounds like a good sign! I think its smart you don’t share with your son, though. That would be awful if he then was rejected. But I doubt he will be! Thats so cool!

Got an email from the admissions dept letting us know that they were in fact testing out the site and that the messages I saw should not have appeared. The email stated that the information was not related to our son’s application and to check the GoChoate site on Wednesday.

Looks like my initial impressions were correct. Hope the message on Wed says the same thing as the one that was there this morning!

I hope I’m accepted to Choate. avid2000, hope you have good news on Wed!

I hope I am accepted too assign! Best of luck to avid2000.

Thanks assign and eddytie. Best of luck to both of you as well!

anyone got a email from choate reminding about online decision at a specific time?

i did
On Friday, March 5, we experienced a technical issue for several hours while previewing test content on the GoChoate! page, which was not tied to any admission decision. For a small window of time Friday evening and Saturday morning, this test content was viewable. We sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by this error.

Please be aware that Wednesday, March 10 is official Decision Day for Choate applicants. Admission Decisions will be posted on the GoChoate! web site at 3:30 pm.

I got the same email Sunday.

Ditto. tenchar

This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between posts. Please try again in 23 seconds.

We saw the same thing. Unfortunately, my daughter is very upset as she is wait listed, and not actually accepted. We hope this does not occur again as it breaks my heart to see my daughter like this… She immediately thought the e-mail sent meant to disregard because she had been denied. We will hope for the best that she is eventually accepted. She had her heart set on attending Choate.

Mainer, tell your daughter there’s hope yet! People have been accepted from the waitlist before. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for her! Hopefully we’ll both make it off the waitlist.

i was just accepted and plan to attend in the fall! go choate!

I knew before I went to school that I got into Exeter, my dad told me at school that I got into Lawrenceville and now when I got home got my fedex from Andover and acceptance from Choate. So many decisions to make. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bunnywins, thank you for the confidence. We hope you get in, too. Where are you from?

I’m from NC. :)
