Hello,
I am a 8th grader and I’m looking into going to Choate Rosemary Hall or I want to go thee but I don’t know if I’m smart enough. I am A’s on all my classes accept a B, 84 in French, a B+ 89 in math and the rest at all A’s. Do you think I could get in also I have honors. In order to get in does it all depend on your grades? I don’t have any accelerated classes though . Please someone help answers questions I’m really stressed( prefer someone who is a Choate Rosemary Hall to answer or graduate there to answer).
Hi @fangirl234121-- All of the more competitive schools look at the “whole” application picture: GPA, SSAT scores, extra-curriculars, where you are from, interview, etc. Obviously a strong GPA is an important aspect of a student’s application, but there is much more to it than that. I recommend reading through some of the historic “Chances” thread postings to get a better idea of the admission process at various boarding schools. Good luck!
Thanks but what if you Don’t do a lot of extra circular activities in school or out. For school I do yearbook club and since The school I’m in now doesn’t have a volleyball team and when I join high school I was going to try out for the team. The reason why I don’t do a lot of activities because I like to focus on my studies. Of course I do other small activities but not professional. So you think that is bad?
