choice between two classes?

Once again, I am forced to make a decision between two classes:

Advanced Art, or AP Biology?

I know most of you will say AP Biology, but I am not very interested in AP Bio at all and I know the teacher isn't going to be very good.... I'm not worried about an A though, as it's mostly not hard, just lots of memorization. Up until this point, any hard or challenging classes I took was only because I was genuinely interested in the material and I feel that if I were to take AP Biology over Advanced Art, I would be "selling out", so to speak?

Also, I am very good at art (have won several youth art awards through my childhood) and I want to show colleges that I have a passion for art.

Then again, they might see that me taking art as an "easy A" elective, when that's not true at all.

However, I am definitely going to take Physics honors (AP not offered) at my school next year because I think physics is cool cool cool. So would two science classes be necessary?

Since you're already taking physics, you don't really need AP bio. Take art since that's what you're interested. I don't think AP bio is worth it if you have no interest in it.

Yeah, I agree with themagicalspork (there's something I never imagined myself saying! xD).

I think you'll be fine with Advanced art, but could you take AP Art?

if it's not your senior year, and you think that you could pull an A, i would go with AP Bio, but thats just me. of course, the best choice would to take ap studio art or ap art history if they are offered

It's completely up to you but...

drop physics and take AP Bio and art. Physics isn't as glamorous as many people think it sounds like. It's mostly memorizing, punching in numbers, and trying to stay awake. If you are going to have a science class, it might as well be AP Bio.

Art...I'd usually be inclined to say AP Bio, but you already have an honors science, and you have a legitimate passion/skill with art

Yeah, I was actually supposed to take either Advanced Art or AP Art this year, but the school screwed me over and I got stuck in Art I, which is an easy chill class to have on top of my other classes. As much as I would love to take AP Art next year, the school changed the way APUSH and AP Calculus AB are held (my school is on a block schedule, so we used to have both classes every other day, but now APUSH is the whole year, every day so it takes up two more spaces for classes) and so I have no room to take AP Art. :(

Another thing I forgot to mention was that at my school, Physiology&Anatomy honors is offered. I could possibly take that instead of Advanced Art or AP Biology, but the only thing I'm worried about is whether or not colleges will consider that a serious science class. Do they?

If you like art, go for art and be happy. :)

go for art b/c thats what you want to do.

which grade are you in ??

I'm currently in 10th grade.
