Choice for Pharmacology! Help

Hi everyone,

I am a newbie here, living in Britain.

In your opinion, what country has the highest reputation for undergraduate courses in Pharmacology? If possible, could you give me some names of such colleges in that country. NB: I am asking about Western Medicine, not the Oriental method.

How is the credit of American universities in Medicine and Pharmacology? I cannot find any table of American college rankings in those two subjects.

Any attempt is appreciated much.

A very good school in Pharmacology would be UCSF in the United States. UCSF= University of California, San Francisco. They have a program so students can obtain an M.D and a Ph.D. The Ph.D could be in Cellular and Chemical biology (which is from the Depts. of Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology and Dept. Pharmaceutical Chemistry. So it really is a graduate program in Pharmacology) All of this will be compleated in 7 years. The combination of this will allow someone to do clinical research in Pharmacology. Sadly this program is only for US Citizens and is locked out for internations. Federal Policy. However you could apply for just the Ph.D program, which is still a very good program by it self. But if you are a US Citizen living in the UK then look into the UCSF Medical Scientist Training Program thats the one with the Ph.D/MD degree, because for pharmacology it is no doubt the best in the world.

How unlucky! I am not even a native English speaker :(

Isn't there any undergraduate course for international kids to follow their dream in Pharmacology at its highest quality?

Anyway, thanks for your info, VTBoy. I will consult it when I reach the level of post-grad :D

Why am I not able to edit my previous post???

New question coming :D Is there any highly credited college on Medicine and/or Pharmacology in the Atlantic Coast?

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. It is a major science school. Good rep in the pharm. field

Rutgers has an amazing pharamacy program- top 10 i believe, it's located in new jersey.

There's Albany College of Pharmacy...I don't know too much about it, but it might be worth checking into. That's in New York, by the way, in the state capital.

Unfortunately UCSF is only a graduate institution. The UCSF entity itself does have an undergraduate body.
