CHOICE Housing

I’m interested in signing up for CHOICE, just because I’m not fond of underage drinking.

I know you might say, “You’re not going to feel the “real” college experience.”.
But, I don’t know. I just want to be around others who know what I’m talking about.

Any views on CHOICE?

My D is a junior. She has never lived in choice but has many friends in choice. She said they are a very close group and if she wasn’t in a Residential college she would have lived there. She has friends not in in choice who don’t “party” drink either who she met freshman year on her floor. So I think you will be happy either way. You will have no problem finding like minded kids no matter where you live. Most of the kids do work hard and have to study. There is so much to do on campus, non alcoholic, that I think the “party school” reputation is not deserved. Maybe it’s because of the frat parties but they can be avoided easily if you want. Her only complaint about living in non’choice dorm, especially freshman year in the beginning, was she would like to go to bed by midnight on the weekends but the other kids on the floor were noisy into the wee hours. But she adjusted. You will have the “college experience” you seek living in choice or anywhere.
Congrats on your acceptance.

Thanks for your comment!

I think I might choose regular housing first year and see how it goes from there :)
