<p>This is kind of a dumb question, but when Cornell asks you your "intended major" on the application, it isn't binding right? Right now I'm leaning towards a certain major, but I'm still not completely sure. However, I'd like to write about that "possible major" for one of the short answers, and it would be awkward to profess my interest in that area and put undecided on the app.</p>
<p>don't worry, you actually won't even have a definite major until your sophomore year. However Cornell wants to now what you have in mind so they can assess your interests to see if they match your intended major</p>
<p>unless youre applying to hotel of course. theres only one major at the hotel school (hotel admin.)</p>
