Choices for majors

Hi all! I am currently a sophomore at a college in WI. My plans after I graduate is to move out to Washington D.c. to do work for the federal government. Here is the question then. I don't know the double major and minor I should pursue for my dream as being a federal economist. Here are my two choices:
1.) Econ and Political Science double major with a math minor
2.) Econ and Math double major with a political science major.

What do you think? Help!

I would go for your second option. You really need math for top econ jobs and it will keep your options open in case you want to go to graduate school later in order to land a higher position.

Minors are pretty pointless. No one will be impressed with what you minored in.

Getting DC government economics jobs straight out of undergrad is quite hard, lots of competition for those among people with just BAs. Best of luck.
